Jobs that needed to be done are now getting done:
THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE HELPED AND WILL HELP!!!!
—Weeds are gone in rock garden in front of school now thanks to Zach Dunn working on his service hours.
—Tuck pointing on back wall of the church and much needed repair to chim- ney on the church has been done.
—Spraying the outside brick of the church with a waterproof sealant. —Taking down of the trees in the newer section for a cemetery to be used for future generations here at St. John’s.
—Gutter repair on the back gutter of the rectory which included new fascia board and new 2x4’s because of major water damage over many years. This could have been much worse.
—Remember the daily sanitizing of the church after ALL the Masses is a job that take time and generous volunteers. Have any of you ever considered to volunteer to help usher, seat people and sanitize after the Masses????? You know we have the SAME people doing this since May....did you ever think that they might like a break now and then???? Yes, it take time to get to church early and stay afterwards but it is a service that helps the entire parish. It doesn’t take long to be trained for this job. Call Father to schedule a training session.
