Town Hall Listening Session

Add Tue, Dec 14 @ 6:30 PM

Pope Francis and Bishop Medley want to hear from you, active Catholics, non-practicing Catholics, former Catholics, members of other Christian communities, unchurched persons — ALL are invited to offer your prayerful insight to the Pope and the Bishop to help guide them as they set the direction for the future of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

During Advent, at the request of Bishop Medley, Saint John the Evangelist Parish will host a Town Hall Listening Session for ALL interested persons at St. John’s Cafeteria on Tue, Dec 14 at 6:30pm.

This Town Hall will provide the whole community of St. John’s an opportunity to prayerfully help guide the Catholic Church in the years ahead.  All the suggestions, concerns, hopes, dreams of the gathered community will then be forwarded to Bishop Medley.  Bishop Medley outlines in greater detail in his letter the work we are about.

These are exciting times for us as Church.  As Pope Francis says, we will be “walking on the same road, walking together…. Let us not miss out on the grace-filled opportunities born of encounter, listening and discernment. In the joyful conviction that, even as we seek the Lord, he always comes with his love to meet us first.”  Join us to see where the journey leads.
